Personal Profile
Quan Li, Doctor of Medicine, Professor of Forensic Medicine, Chief Forensic Physician (Forensic Pathology and Forensic Clinical), Doctoral Supervisor, and introduced talent under the "Hundred Talents Plan" of Sun Yat-sen University.
He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in Forensic Medicine from the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka City University (Osaka City University Graduate School of Medicine), Japan in March 2002. In 2002, he underwent postdoctoral training as a Special Foreign Researcher supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and served as a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Medicine at Osaka City University, engaged in forensic medical teaching, scientific research, and judicial identification work.
In 2006, he served as a Professor and Vice Dean of the Public Security College at Gansu University of Political Science and Law, China. In 2007, he became an Assistant Professor in the Forensic Medicine Teaching and Research Section of the Department of Medicine at Osaka City University, where he established an independent research group and has been engaged in forensic medical teaching, scientific research, and judicial identification work.
In 2009, he returned to China as an introduced talent of Sun Yat-sen University and was appointed as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University.
From 2002 to the present, as the corresponding author or first author, he has published more than 20 academic papers in well-known forensic medical journals such as Legal Med, Int J Legal Med, and Forensic Sci Int. He participated in the key research and development project of the National Natural Science Foundation and presided over and completed two general projects of the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He participated in the compilation of the third edition of the national postgraduate textbook Advanced Forensic Medicine and Forensic Scene Science.

Research Background and Directions
He has long been engaged in the study of the relationship between neural cell injury (degeneration) and traumatic Stress in forensic neuropathology, as well as the diagnostic significance of forensic serum biochemical indicators in sudden death. Currently, his research focuses on the effects of traumatic Stress on the functional changes of central nervous cells and the secretion of neurotransmitters in cerebrospinal fluid, as well as the evaluation of the degree of dopamine nervous system damage in various causes of death.
