Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Collaboration between the Medical Schools of Sun Yat-sen University and the University of Hong Kong
Sun Yat-sen University (represented by the ZhongShan School of Medicine) and the University of Hong Kong (represented by the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine), in their joint commitment to building world-class medical schools, pursuing excellence in talent development, and conducting high-level scientific research, have agreed to enhance exchanges in educational and cultural affairs and to share educational and cultural resources. Building on the foundation of previous friendly collaborations (including the signing of a joint laboratory agreement with the University of Hong Kong in 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine in 2017, and the hosting of the 15th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Summer Camp in 2023), the two universities signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Collaboration between the Medical Schools of Sun Yat-sen University and the University of Hong Kong in 2023. They have agreed to establish a long-term relationship of friendly cooperation and exchange between the ZhongShan School of Medicine and the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.

Memorandum of Understanding on Collaboration in the Field of Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Studies between Sun Yat-sen University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
On October 14, 2024, at the Sun Yat-sen University Hong Kong Institute of Higher Education, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the deans of both parties. Sun Yat-sen University (represented by the ZhongShan School of Medicine) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (represented by the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences) entered into this agreement. The signing was witnessed by Professor Yang Qinghua, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University, and Professor Wong Wing Tak, Vice President (Academic and Chief of Staff) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Going forward, both parties will further explore opportunities for collaborative research and teaching in the field of medical-engineering interdisciplinary studies. They aim to leverage their respective strengths to promote exchanges in teaching, research, and talent development.

Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Exchange and Collaboration in Neuroscience, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, and Metabolic Disorders between Sun Yat-sen University and the University of British Columbia (UBC)
Since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2017, Sun Yat-sen University (represented by the ZhongShan School of Medicine) and the University of British Columbia (UBC, represented by the Faculty of Medicine) have successfully held four joint medical forums with the support of the Ho Sin Hang Foundation in Macao. These forums have focused on the latest research progress in neuroscience, oncology, infectious diseases, and metabolic disorders.
To further enhance collaboration and exchange between the two universities, a student exchange program is proposed. This initiative aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to promote exchanges in teaching, research, and talent development.
