Personal Profile
Zhou Ti, female, is a professor in the Biochemistry Teaching and Research Section of the Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University. She obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree in Clinical Medicine from the Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University in 2006, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry from the same university in 2011. From 2008 to 2011, during her doctoral studies, she worked at the Diabetes Research Center of the University of Oklahoma in the United States on the molecular mechanisms of diabetic complications, focusing on the pathological roles and molecular mechanisms of the classical Wnt signaling pathway in diabetic complications and research on gene-targeted therapy.
After obtaining her Ph.D., she stayed at the university as a postdoctoral fellow with a teaching position in 2011 and was awarded the title of "Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow of Sun Yat-sen University". In 2014, she was selected as a provincial-level training object of the "Thousand, Hundred and Ten Project" of Guangdong Province. In 2015, she was selected as a "Pearl River New Star of Science and Technology in Guangzhou". In 2016, she was selected as a young top-notch talent in the "Hundred, Thousand and Million Talents Project" of Guangdong Province. In 2019, she won the first prize in the "China Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Micro-lecture Open Competition". She also guided undergraduate students to win the second prize and third prize in the "Basic Medical Science Research Design Competition of Sun Yat-sen University" in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
