Doctor of Science, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Master's Supervisor. Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center of Biomedical Big Data, Ministry of Education; Vice Dean of the National Institute of Health and Medical Big Data, Sun Yat-sen University; Party Branch Secretary of the Department of Genetics and Biomedical Informatics; Director of the Medical Digitalization Laboratory, Zhongshan School of Medicine; Director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center of Health and Medical Big Data; Chairman of the Guangzhou Health and Medical Big Data Technology Innovation Alliance.

Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and obtained master's and doctoral degrees in Medical Informatics. Joined the Teaching and Research Section of Medical Informatics, Zhongshan Medical College in July 1996. He has long been engaged in research related to health and medical informatization and big data, medical artificial intelligence, etc. He has done a lot of cutting-edge work in areas such as standards for medical information and health and medical big data, aggregation and integration of diverse and heterogeneous health and medical data, medical artificial intelligence (natural language processing, medical knowledge graph, medical large models, etc.) and big data analysis and model research of clinical specialties.

He has successively presided over more than 20 projects, including general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, topics of national key research and development projects, and major scientific and technological special projects of Guangdong Province. To date, he has published more than 200 papers, edited 9 monographs, co-edited 10 monographs, and co-translated 1 book. He has obtained 9 authorized invention patents and 11 software copyrights (8 invention patents submitted). His teaching and scientific research achievements have been at the forefront of the whole college in recent years. The students he has trained have won many awards such as the National Postgraduate Scholarship and the First-class Scholarship, and their employment situation is good. Many students have furthered their studies at internationally renowned universities such as Harvard University, the University of Texas, and Duke University.
