Bai Chuan, Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University.
Graduated from the West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University (formerly the School of Pharmacy of West China University of Medical Sciences) with a Bachelor of Science degree from 1995 to 1999.
Obtained a Master of Science in Pharmacognosy from the West China School of Pharmacy, Sichuan University from 1999 to 2002.
Received a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the College of Pharmacy, University of Illinois at Chicago from 2004 to 2010.
The main research directions are medicinal chemistry of antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs, and research on small molecule probes related to metabolism and immunity. Up to now, he has published more than ten articles in authoritative journals, obtained 6 national invention patents, and completed 1 patent transfer; presided over 6 national, provincial and municipal projects, 1 horizontal project, and won the Second Prize of the Guangdong Province Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 8th).
