Recently, the fifth round of planning textbook "Clinical Parasitological Examination" (5th Edition) of the medical laboratory technology major in national medical colleges and universities edited by Professor Lu Zhiyue of our hospital was officially published and distributed by China Health Media Group and China Medical Science and Technology Press.

Since its publication in 2004, the undergraduate planning textbook for medical laboratory technology in national medical colleges and universities has a history of more than 20 years. Professor Wu Zhongdao was the editor-in-chief of Clinical Parasitology (1st to 4th editions). The purpose of this round of textbook republication is to further implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the National Education Conference, closely connect with the new requirements of the new medical construction for the reform of medical education, meet the new needs of medical and health undertakings for talent training in the new era, comprehensively improve the quality of medical laboratory technology professional planning textbooks and education quality, and improve the quality of medical laboratory technology personnel training.
With the tenet of "serving the clinic and being close to practice", this textbook is compiled according to the basic requirements and course characteristics of the clinical parasite testing course standards, and systematically sorts out the latest progress of parasitological testing technology, covering the biological characteristics, pathogenesis and clinical and laboratory diagnosis of medical nematodes, medical flukes, medical tapeworms, medical protozoa and parasitic arthropods related to human health.
The book is edited by Professor Lu Zhiyue of Sun Yat-sen University and Professor Liang Shaohui of Wenzhou Medical University, and is composed of more than 20 experts from many medical schools in the United Nations. In the process of compilation, the team is based on the international frontier, integrates China's localized practical experience, ensures the advancement and practicability of the content, and provides clinicians, laboratory personnel and scientific research workers with a practical model of interdisciplinary collaboration. Associate Professor Huang Yan served as the editorial board member of the textbook, and Associate Professor Sun Xi served as the second editor-in-chief of the experimental textbook "Experimental Guidance for Clinical Parasitological Testing" (4th Edition).
